Masterworks

Founded in 1978, the Masterworks Chorus is a mixed adult chorus. It provides singers in the Greater Omaha area a unique opportunity to experience large choral works with orchestra, soloists, and guest ensembles of national and international reputation, and a high standard of artistic excellence throughout their eight-month season. In the past, the Masterworks Chorus performed critically acclaimed performances with such choral masterpieces as:

Orff's Carmina Burana
Handel's Israel in Egypt
Verdi's Requiem
Mendelssohn's Elijah
Bruckner's Te Deum
Bernstein's Missa Brevis

The Masterworks Chorus is an auditioned mixed adult chorus that rehearses a variety of musical styles every Monday evening from September through May. In addition to presenting four exhilarating concerts per season and participating in community events, the group annually alternates regional and international tours. Masterworks auditions are held in the fall, in January, and again in the spring.
